DESCRIPTION:Welcome to English Book Club! \n\nVenue: Main library learning space\, 1st floor\, at the back of children’s section (”Koulutustila”) \nWe meet once a month to chat in English about a book\, author\, or literary theme we’ve chosen together. The books can be read in any language! At our first gathering\, we’ll pick the books and themes for the spring. We are open to everyone\, no registration required. Feel free to join any sessions you like! \nOur book club is led by a volunteer who speaks English. Finnish-speaking library staff will be there to help out during the first few sessions. \nWe meet on following Wednesdays from 17:30 to 18:30: \n\n\n28.1.\nChoosing the books and planning the spring together\n\n\n25.2. \nJulian Barnes: Sense of an Ending\n\n\n25.3.\nJeanine Cummins: American Dirt (Note: This week\, we meet exceptionally in the workshop space at the back of children’s section)\n\n29.4.\nTheme to be announced later\n\n\n\n\nPlease ask about the availability of the books at the main library customer service!
